Downtown Waxahachie has everything you need and more! There are over 50 businesses in a 10 block area, making it convenient to get all of your shopping done while enjoying the beautiful scenery in the historic downtown. You can find everything from antiques to clothing, crafts to fine home furnishings, salons and barbershops, auto parts, and many unique gifts. There are over a dozen restaurants serving a variety of delicious cuisines – enough to satisfy any appetite or budget.
Downtown Waxahachie is also home to several events and festivals throughout the year. From May to October, patrons enjoy fresh produce, baked goods, gourmet foods, and gifts at the Downtown Farmer’s Market. The Farmer’s Market is open each Saturday from May to October from 8am-1pm. The Summer Moonlight Movie Series is sponsored by the City of Waxahachie Main Street Program. Citizens bring their blankets and lawn chairs for free family movies under the stars.
